Mary Beth was born May 9, 1957, the first of Ray and Virginia’s three children.

On April 24, 1982 Mary Beth married Matthew B. Ralston.

Their first son, Zach was born on May 18th 1987.

Their second son, Kyle was born on April 21st 1989.

In 1992 the family moved from North Carolina to Pennsylvania when Matthew took a position at The Hill School.

Matthew is currently Dean of Faculty & Instructor of Mathematics and Mary Beth is Health Center secretary at The Hill School.
They are also dormitory parents in Robins House. Additionally, Matthew coaches the cross country, track, and lacrosse programs, is an adviser to the sixth form and serves as dormitory head for Dutch Village.
