Greg was born December 5, 1959, the second of Ray and Virginia’s three children.

Greg graduated from The Ohio State University in 1982.

He began working for Merchants Home Delivery Service. Merchants handled delivery of furniture and appliances for several stores and Greg was assigned to the Alpert’s Furniture account. That is where Greg and Ruthann Reis met.

On January 12, 1985 Gregory married Ruthann Reis and relocated to Georgia where Greg had been transferred. After about a year in Georgia, Greg was offered a transfer to California.

California was a very easy place to get used to. We lived about an hour from LA in the small city of Santa Paula. It was beautiful. We were far enough from LA that we did not have to deal with the traffic and the crowds. We were close to the ocean and were surrounded by the beautiful mountains.

Our daughter Amanda Ryen was born on August 18, 1987.

Greg was offered a transfer to Chicago. It was nice to be closer to home so grandma and grandpa could see Amanda more often. We lived in the small city of Lisle, again removed from the big city. We were only there about a year when a position in Greg’s company opened up in Dublin Ohio. We made that move and have been here since.

Amanda began singing all the time around the house. I thought she sounded good, but I was her mother. When she was in fourth grade I received a note from her choir teacher telling me I should look into putting her in the church choir. Amanda sang with the church choir thru high school and was in the Christmas play each year. She was also involved in choir at school and in the theatre program.

Greg’s proudest moment as a parent come in November 2004 when Amanda received her acceptance letter from The Ohio State University!

Greg still works for the same company he started with after college, although they have changed names a couple times. He is looking forward to his upcoming trip to cheer on his Ohio State Buckeyes in the National Championship in January 2007! Ruthann is working for TPI, a reseller of computer and bar coding equipment and will be celebrating her 10th year with them in July. We have three cats, Shadow, Lexi and Felix who Ruthann spoils worse than little kids!
