Debra was born May 24, 1967 to Raymond and Marie Smigelsky.

She was their second child, having an older sister Denise and in a few years, a brother David.

After her parents divorce, Debbie took her step-father's last name, Pastir.

On April 9, 1994, Debbie married Jim Hiles.

July 21, 1995 their first child, Brooke was born.

March 29, 2000 their second child, Dylan was born.
