Sue’s “Shortcut” Halusky (Cabbage & Noodles)
“ it‘s as good as making it from scratch!”

 

Ingredients

  •  1 lb. package medium size noodles
  •  1 head cabbage (about 3 lbs.)
  •  1 small onion, chopped
  •  4 Tbsp. butter
  •  6 Tbsp. melted butter
 

Preparation

  1. Cook noodles according to directions on package, drain in a colander and place in a bowl.
     
  2. Core and shred the cabbage.
     
  3. Melt 4 Tbsp. butter in a frying pan.
     
  4. Add cabbage and onion and fry together, stirring frequently until mixture is tender and browned.
     
  5. Pour the cabbage and onion mixture over the noodles.
     
  6. Add 6 Tbsp. melted butter and mix lightly.

    Serve.
